Working Sony TC-KA5ES Cassette Deck Dolby B, C, S & Hx Pro + Remote, 100V

Up for sale is the vintage Sony TC-KA5ES cassette deck.  It features Dolby B, C, S and HX Pro noise reduction.  The TC-KA5ES was sold in Japan only thus requiring a 100V step down converter.  The TC-KA5ES was near the top of the line when it was on sale, only bested by the TC-KA7ES with the only differences between the two decks being the gold-plated tape head and the copper-plated chassis on the TC-KA7ES (they share the same instruction manual).
Cosmetically, this deck is in good condition.  Face plate itself is clean but there are some dents and scratches on the top and right side edges (pics #4-8).  There are also some minor scratches and dents on the top panel (pics #12-15).  The remote is in excellent cosmetic condition with a clean battery compartment free of corrosion.  Please refer to the pictures for all the cosmetic details.
Functionally it is in excellent working condition.  Two belts were replaced.  Playback and record were tested with both type I and II tapes and working, with the deck able to recognize tape type automatically.  Manual tape calibration and bias were also tested and working.  FF and REW are both working as well as AMS for both directions.  The deck and the remote will be packed in fitted foam and shipped via FedEx Ground.
